My latest work is a series of still life, inspired by the beauty of the most ordinary of everyday things - flowers and fauna found in Cornish hedgerows and fields, and glass vases found in local charity shops. I interpret in oils the way light plays on and around them, shadows, refractions and reflections. Colour, tone, relationship of one 'object' to another. All is subtle and intriguing beauty!
I live and work in Falmouth, Cornwall, England.
I am inspired by the beauty of the world around me, present within dramatic landscapes, still life, and people.
My art causes me to look closely – to see those things that often pass by unnoticed. I believe this intrinsic beauty gives us glimpses of the Sacred, present in all things, if we only have eyes to see.
